Calling All Women of Strength!!!

A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

Hey, ladies!  Sorry I have been away so long (again).

OMGosh, I cannot believe I am 30 weeks.  We barely have anything ready.  The hubbie's parents came to town this week and checked out our new pad.  (We just moved to get space for an extra room).  Boy, are they awesome and brought a lot of 2nd hand stuff along with paying for our most expensive stuff off the registry.  Wow.  They make me want to cry (in a good way).

Well, I'm huge now (I thought I was big *before*) and uncomfortable and hot.  If I'm planning for next time, I am going to do better at avoiding being pregnant in the summer.  Sometimes I can't sleep because I'm so uncomfortable and hot.  I keep the thermostat at 69 and my hubbie piles on the layers when he walks in the door.  I am ready to meet little Hayden.  :)  Not too long now.

Wow, I am really going to be a mom.

My job is kind of getting stressful - I am having a hard time dealing with the pressure put on by my manager and sometimes I just get home and cry.  I am not the only one, in fact some of the other team members come to my cube to go for a walk, just to get a breather from him for a while.

It ***** to say, but I am going to ask my doctor how early he feels comfortable signing me out of work I think and just be done with it.  I don't think it is healthy for me or the baby to feel like this all the time.  I am just not able to deal with it like I used to.

I am rambling...
Mommyin10: I am SOOO thrilled for you.  I hope you are not too sick and that you're enjoying your pregnancy.  I got a kick out of seeing your egg :)

Hi Scripps :)  I was able to fly to another country at 23 weeks.  But definitely clear it with your doctor.  Gosh, I can't imagine not having my doctor responsive to me.  It seems like I send him an E-mail every week, or at least every other for advice.  Any way you can switch?  It would be really miserable to be pregnant without feeling you are supported and safe...

I know what you mean about the frustration.  Last night was okay.  We both just want a baby so bad!  The pain is still there today but not quite as bad.  Which is another reason why I think I was wrong about O'ing on Monday.  I'm going to keep taking the opks and temping.  Hopefully my chart starts making sense soon.  The economy has been bad on many of us here in Iowa, but from what I hear, it's like that all over the country.

Just this week, DH and I are struggling financially.  I've been on the phone most of the last two days, calling our bill companies and asking for small extensions.  Honestly, if we can push back 2 or 3 of our bills til next Friday we'll be fine. It was just bad timing.  But we do what we can.  I remember the stories my mom used to tell me of when she first had me. She was a single mom, on her own, living on ramen noodles, mac-n-cheese, and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.  Now we're doing the same thing.  Granted, we have money.  We're just trying to get out of debt.  We counted up our debt the other day.  And, not including our home, we have almost 20,000 dollars in debt.  It overwhelms us.  Most of that is the car and medical bills. But we don't like debt.  So that's where all of our money goes.  Paying it off.

As far as your doctor goes, I have totally been there!!!  Our last doctor was terrible with a capital T!  I do have to say: Good for you!  That journal is awesome.  I have a TTC binder that I put my charts and stuff in.  Plus, I journal in it.  It's a great way to relieve stress.  And, dh and I are looking forward to reading it after we have our first baby.  We want to lay down on the floor, the baby between us, and read it.  And know that it was all worth it for that little miracle laying between us.  It's a little cheesy, but we like it.

I would definately start looking for a different doctor.  I've never heard of a doctor NOT telling you to start vitamins or starting your pre-natal care.  That's crazy.  I've been on prenatal vitamins for a few years now, just to help take better care of my body.  Best of luck hun!  (by the way, can you tell I'm bored at work?  I just wrote a flippin' book to you!  Ha ha)

mrspace24: I'm sorry you are having such a hard time right now.  My parents live in Iowa, and they tell me the economy is tough on everyone.  It must be difficult, on top of everything else, to have sex be a source of pain.  I can relate to that because my dh cannot ejaculate, a source of immense tension between us, as you might imagine.  I hope things will improve for you soon.

mommyin10: what is next for you?  Will you switch to another doctor to follow the pregnancy, or does your clinic have someone for you?

stacey1718: are you enjoying being away from work, or is it strange not to have a routine?  It must feel wonderful to be so close to delivery time!

luvkayln: how are  you doing with work?  You are about 5 months now, right?  How long do you plan to keep working?

As for me, I'm doing well.  No more cramping really, which makes me calmer.  However, I am perturbed with my doctor.  He never talks to patients on the phone and is almost unreachable.  I sent him an email Tuesday asking if I could fly, would he please send me a prescription for an estrogen/progesterone test and what I should do next given that France will shut down for all of August and he will be away.

Today, two days later, he still hadn't responded by 4pm, so I called his assistant.  He wrote me an email within the hour: I can drag my *** to the hospital (90 minutes out, 90 minutes back) and pay him for a private consultation if I want answers.

He told me that it's great I have a busy brain, but I shouldn't be so anxious, and he mocked the notebook I bring to meetings with him.  Now ladies, this is a doctor who hasn't spoken to me about my hcg results, hasn't prescribed vitamins, hasn't made any arrangements for my future care.  I can only imagine that the fact that keep track of everything and press him for answers annoys him because he realizes I know he isn't being careful or detailed.

Of course, anger won't get me anywhere, so I'll have to be nice tomorrow.

mommyin10-I am going to uncheck the O box.  I thought for sure that I had O'd, but now I'm not so sure.  I hate how some of these cycles can be so confusing.  The good news for me is that I have such an amazing doctor now, so I know he'll be able to explain my chart to me better.  I am starting to think that this month won't work.  Which is fine.  We know that it can take several months/years.  So I'm just not getting my hopes up this cycle.  But we'll see what happens.

stacey- I did tell him that it was painful, so he was being as careful as possible.  I was just in a lot of pain. We didn't want to NOT bd because we want this cycle to work.  By the way, the photos of Jake's room are absolutely adorable.  Such a sweet room.  I like how you kept it simple and classy.  Friends of ours just had a little boy a few weeks ago and his room looks crazy!  One wall has blue and green stripes, another has green and yellow polka dots, another has brown and blue with animals all over it, and one wall has winnie the pooh.  It's crazy!  I love Jake's room though.  Very nice job!

Scripps:  I'm surprised, too, that your doc hasn't mentioned prenatals.  Be sure to start taking them now.  The folic acid is great.  That's very important too! :)  Good news with your beta!!!  That is exciting & puts your mind at ease ;)

luvkayln:  Happy 19 Weeks!!! What a couple of lucky kitties =)  I'm sure you'll take great care of them & won't be able to give them up ;)  How are the dogs reacting to their crying?  Adalynn Noelle is just perfect!  I love it!  It's such a pretty and feminine name =)

Stacey:  Jake's room looks just beautiful!  I love it =)  It looks very much like what we would do because ours is a small room, too & our styles seem to be very similar.  I love the colors!  My motto is simple elegance & you captured that ;)  I can't believe you've got less than 2 weeks to go before you're sitting in that rocking chair!  I bet Jake & your nephew will be best friends ;)  I know, I can't wait til tomorrow!  Of course, now that it's getting closer, I'm getting more nervous... Ugh!

mrspace:  I've had O pain that is so painful, so I can relate.  I can't tell by your chart if you did in fact O because I noticed you checked the "O day" box, so that might be why it's indicating you're 3dpo?  Just wait and see how your opks go & your next few days of temps.  In the meantime, you're covering all bases, so there's nothing to worry about! =)

Pyar:  Congrats on being 5dpo & for coming to a decision regarding looking for an egg donor!  That's great news & I wish you my very best!!! =)

jmh2005:  ;(  I'm sorry!!!
