Clomid & Cycle Length

Hi,

I have been prescibed clomid for days 2-6 and am wondering if anyone has experience on how it would affect cycle length?

I am expecting a 29 day cycle ( I am charting) this month without clomid.

This is my first post and I hope I'm posting in the right place. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for the research bam 1014, that is so nice of you. I am trying to find out since DH and I both travel alot and I don't want to "waste" the clomid by having bad timing!

Sorry to hear of your disappointment (I saw your other thread) and I wish you good luck in the future.

Thanks again and anyone else out there who has personal experience/information, I'd really appreciate it!

I just looked back at my charts and back in February I did CD2-6.  I O'd on CD15.

I havn't done a lot of charting on non-med cycles to know when my average O date is.  And now I've done so many cycles of Clomid and Femara that I'm finding my O date is all over the place!  I did 12.5 mg of Femara this cycle and O'd on CD10!!!  Just confirmed by RE, per u/s, this morning.

Thank you for the details ttcafro.

I am now wondering if it is affected by the Days taken i.e 2-6 vs. 3-7 or 5-9. barn1014 if you are still reading, did you also take it 2-6?

Any other input would also be appreciated.

I am in my second cycle on clomid 100mg from day 2-6. Pre clomid, my cycle was always about 35 days and I'd O on day 21. In my first clomid cycle, I O'd on day 15 and had a 17 day luteal phase. This cycle I O'd on day 14. Waiting to see how long the luteal phase will be.

I found that Clomid made me O a couple days later then what I normally did.  Which in turn will make your cycle slightly longer.  It doesn't happen to all women, but did for me.
