Clomid- is it normal to have the period 3 weeks after ovulation?

Hi,

I have been trying to conceive for 1,5 years. I got an ectopic pregnancy in August. Since then we have been trying again and I just got on two cycles of clomid. I got the results - negative- of the second cycle today. I am expecting my period in about a week so 3 weeks after i got the ultrasound spotting follicules big enough and then the trigger shot in the evening, so the ovulation days. But I thought woman were always ovulating 14 days before the period so what does that mean?  did the doctor make a mistake or my cycle is a bit strange?? thanks a lot for your help and advices!

My cycles were extremely short as well on Clomid and HCG trigger. I finally got my positive after my third cycle of Clomid and HCG trigger. I am currently 9 weeks pregnant after trying to conceive for close to 7 years with an ectopic in February 2014.
