Could I be pregnant?

I am so nervous that I might actually finally be pregnant. My cycle has been regular since January. In July I noticed a change in cervial mucous around the time of ovulation, so we had sex. Then about a week later there was another change in mucous. I read on another site that the second change after ovulation could have been a secondary estorgen surge. The same day as this second surge I also had some cramping. Well now I am late and wonder if this means I might be pregnant? I am at day 38 and the last 3 monts have been 31, 32, and 31 days. I took a home test yesterday but it was negative. I know I should call my RE but I am so nervous that she is going to tell me I am not pregnant. Any advice would be great! Thank you in advance and best of luck to everyone :)

I went to the RE this morning for lab work. Just waiting for call back with either the good news or that I need to go back on Provera.
