Might be Miscarrying one twin, is this possible?

I am 6 weeks with twins.  One is much small than the other.  A few days ago I started bleeding.  I have been bleeding for about three days now.  Not real heavy, but not real light. The doctor has told me just to continue to monitor the bleeding.  Not much help honestly.  Is it possible that I might be miscarrying one and the other one may be ok?  I would appreciate any thoughts.  Thank you.

I think i am going through the same thing, but i have not been told of doctors that it is or was twins i was carrying, twins run in my family and im noe 10 weeks pregnant. last week i was losin alot of blood and went to hospital on sat morning where they kept me in for 3days and kept an eye on my bleeding, BUT i could not have a scan until monday as there was nobody there to do the scan over weekend which i thought was a joke!! in the mean time i was losing lots of blood and there where clots and on one trip to the loo i felt something abit to big come out, so i thought it was defo my baby, i was 100% positive id miscarried, trhen Monday when i went for my scan there was a heartbeat i was totally in shock!! there was no other sign of a baby, so whether it all camr out naturally thats what im thinking, im back home now and my bleeding has stopped, im in no pain and i now have another scan booked in monday.. because they never scanned me right away i will never now know if i was carrying twins, can anyone help me with this?? has this happened to anyone else before??? my boobs are still tender and i still have morning sickness and my last scan showed a heartbeat so now im confused????

It happened to me.  I lost one twin at about 8 weeks. like you, had some bleeding.  I am now at 18 wks with the surviving twin.  Please just try to stay off your feet and get as much rest as possible.  More than likely, your body will absorb what they call the vanishing twin.  But you don't know yet, so both babies may be fine.  Good luck!!

Everything may be just fine. I know it's hard but try not to worry. stay off of your feet, I mean it totally off of your feet and let dh pamper you!!!! It is possible to miscarry only one baby, but please take it REAL easy for at least a week or two. God bless and take care!

To add to my question above.....I forgot to add that I had low progesterone that was caught at 5 weeks.  I started on the shots to help.  Did I not catch the low progesterone early enough?
