Did I have a miscarriage??..Help, I'm devastated!!

My last LMP was 7/20...I was 17 days late (Thursday), and scheduled an appointment with my doctor for a blood test (my mom could never get a positive HPT, so I decided not to waste the money).  I had all the symptoms of pregnancy (lower back pain, sore boobs, light headed, nautious, just felt prego). Thursday night I had some light pink spotting (only when I wiped).  Friday morning I woke up with severe cramping and heavy bleeding (some clotting).  Saturday morning it was still fairly heavy, but trailed off by the end of the day.  Sunday and Monday I only had some light spotting that was brown in color.  Today I only get some brown snot looking stuff (sorry) when I wipe.  I did have the blood test done on Thursday before I started spotting, and the HCG level only came back at a 6.  Did I have a miscarriage, or could I possibly still be pregnant.  My doctor knows what is going on, but can't get me in for an ultrasound until 9/17...thats a WHOLE WEEK!!  Has anyone else gone through this...what  is happening to my body??  THANKS!

I just had a MC 2 weeks ago and it sounds very possible this is what you are experiencing.  My LMP was also 7/20 and my levels 2 weeks ago were 19 and then dropped to 14.9 so your levels being so low I wouldn't think you were still pregnant.  I would demand an ultrasound if I were you.  Good luck.

Well, If you are 17 days late, your hcg should be higher than 6. I would lean more toward you had a miscarriage, passed the tissue and are resuming to low numbers now. Just a thought I'm not a Dr. But I just had a m/c on 7-19 and that's pretty much how mine went. So sorry :(

Considering your SEVERE cramping and bleeding-I would call your DR. and tell him you need to get in sooner! If not-get to the emergency room/urgent care. If you did miscarry, they need to check and see that the tissue is expelled-thus preventing infection (when you miscarry, the cervix opens)! Also, if you are still preggo-you need to make sure the baby is ok!
