I hate my body with a passion

I went to the doctor this morning to get BW.  I took a HPT yesterday and it was negative but I'm on CD35 and was told to call if I made it that far without a period.  I tried not to get my hopes up but I guess I did because the BW came back negative for pregnancy.  They also said I didn't ovulate at all this month.  What I don't understand is the doctor knew this.  The dye test showed there was no blockages in my tubes or anything and he also knows I ovulate with Clomid.  So please tell me why he suggested that DH and I TTC naturally for the last couple of months when he knows I don't ovulate?  DH's semen is thick but he said that it's possible a few sperm could break free to fertilize an egg if it's coming.  Hello?!  How can it fertilize an egg that isn't there?  If I don't ovulate how the hell was I supposed to get pregnant?  I'm so upset and quite frankly I am ticked off at my doctor for wasting the last 2 months of my life when we could have already been pregnant!

Your DH should take robitussin the plain kind no letters or numbers after it! This thins *** and cervical mucus if a woman takes it. Take it four times a day for 4-5 days before you ovulate. It works and many RE's go by this! If you do not have good CM then you need to use preseed also. Maybe you should just be blunt with the dr and say you will not continue ttc unless he can assure you that you ahve O'd. He will have to make another plan of action! That you already used clomid and you want him to be more agressive!! EIther he is willing to or not! Best of luck

Yes, I agree.  I believe that the IUI will be the next step for you and your DH.  Because of the thickness and not ovulating each month anyway (naturally) doing the iui will increase your chances of getting a BFP by that much more.
Good luck to you and stay positive.

That's good because if it's that thick then I think the IUI would help. They should also monitor you better on an IUI with an ultrasound as well as the bloodwork. I hope the first one is a success!!!! Good luck.

My OB/GYN put me on Clomid and I ovulated 2 out of the 3 months.  When we still didn't get pg she sent me to an RE.  DH had a semen analysis done and the urologist said his semen was really thick so it took them a while to wash it out enough to even count the sperm.  The doctor is putting me on meds to start my period.  THEN he's going to put me on Clomid and when I get a + OPK we are doing an IUI.

He put you on Clomid before though and could tell you did ovulate on that but this time he didn't go with any drugs??? That's weird.

I don't have any earthly idea why your doctor would suggest ttc naturally if he knows you're not ovulating but I think that they can tell if you are ovulating or not by the BW. I have PCOS and have to be heavily monitored by my RE and they always do an ultrasound on me to check for follicles and their sizes but then I never hear back from them as to whether I'm actually ovulating or not until they get the bloodwork back. They told me last time that even though I have six follicles in there that they wouldn't know if I was ovulating or not until they got the BW back.... so??? I guess that would probably be how as to why... I don't know. It sounds to me like your doctor needs to be monitoring you more closely. Also I know you said your DH's semin is thick. Has he had a semen analysis done? It sounds like you might need to do an IUI. I'm no doctor , this is just my humble opinion but I don't blame you one bit for being ticked off. This is your money and your time... It's frustrating I know. Hang in there and good luck!
