Steroids for IVF transfer??

Anyone else ever try this? And if so, did it work for you?? Are there any risks to the embie?? Thanks for any info you may have...

I will be taking 16MG a day for 4 days (Friday, Sat, Sun, and Monday the day of the transfer)..  the steriod name is Methylprednisolone

Do you remember which steriod was it and the dosage you took?

I had a successful pregnancy after IVF last year, and steroids (pills) were part of my protocol. I can't remember for how long, but I think it was only for a few days around transfer.

My ob-gyn is 41 and is 22 weeks pregnant after ivf.  She used a low dose of steroids, low dose aspirin daily and a short course of antibiotics (and acupuncture). It worked for her but everyone is different, I guess...

I dont think i have antibiodies...( They never tested me anyways...)
After my cycle failed last month..i asked them what else can i do? Is there anything else that may help my odds..
and the IVF nurse said maybe steroids.. so we are going to try them this cycle. Sure hope they work as this will most likely be our lat chance..

I'm interested in this too because i have antibodies and i heard taking steriods might help suppress your immune system in case antibodies should attack the embryo. I'm going to ask my doc about it at my next visit.
