"...my better half suggested I look into those meds..."
It's not his decision if you need to take the med or not, it's your doctor. If you do not have any problem regarding conceiving and ovulating, your doctor will not prescribe you with fertility med even you wanted to.
Like jenandjon said, fermara and clomid do make you uterus lining thin and it's hard to eggs to implant. think about it and make sure your doctor prescribe you correct med. Otherwise, it's will mess up your cycle.
good luck to you.
Your doctor may not want to prescribe meds if you don't have trouble TTCing. However....you can get Clomid through the web without a prescription. There is research showing that for those that ovulate on their own, taking Clomid days 1-5 can produce the results you may be looking for. My doctor prescribed 100 mg. and the product warning says not to go over 200 mg (I've heard limited success at 200 mg.). Please be careful with this drug as it can cause ovarian cyst. Most on it are monitored by their doctor for this. My doctor would only let me do 3 cycles with Clomid and then would move onto Femara as Clomid can thin your uterine lining and there are studies that show limited success after three cycles. Hope that info helped.
Men, I swear. They're so silly...my husband tells me that when we do get pregnant, it'll be with a boy because his swimmers are "too strong". I'm hoping we have a girl first just so that Daddy's princess humbles him a little. LOL. Anyway, whatever happens, I wish you and all the other ladies on here Happy Healthy pregnancies and deliveries. Take care and keep me updated! God Bless. : )
Yes that is my great concern now is the maintaining a healthy pregnancy but my better half suggested I look into those meds. I think he is jumping the gun and just wants me to knock it out with a big bang haha....so far I have only learned of a blood clotting disorder that I have that is most likely the cause the of the previous miscarriages, by taking baby asprin that should help the problem though. We'll see!!!!!!!!!!
God bless and thanks for your help as well!
I took clomid 150Mg Cd 3-9 and I'm pregnant with twins.....started out with triplets but lost one at 9 weeks
A woman usually only produces one egg a month without any meds. And a Dr. will usually only prescrible fertility meds in case of fertility issues. Oral meds increase your chances of producing multiples and injectibles make it even more likely. The meds are something you should discuss with your Dr. although I really haven't heard of anyone taking them specifically because they want multiples. Most women on here are taking them with the hopes of having a happy healthy baby...multiples would be a bonus. Good luck either way and try to get to the bottom of why you're having problems sustaining a pregnancy (which by the way, I'm so sorry for your losses.) It may be due to your body not producing enough progesterone to hold the pregnancy. If so, your doctor can prescribe it for you to give your body a helping hand. Take care and God Bless. : )
Great! Do you know if its common for a women to get more than one egg a month? OR is it generally one??????
your doctor will prescribe the medicine for you if she/he thinks you needed. usually only one egg release per month. with fertility medicine, they can release 2, 2, 4, even 5 eggs per month.
Talk to your doctor if you are curious about the fertility drugs.
I don't think I've ever had any problems ttc THAT I KNOW of we'll find out soon!! its just the miscarriages that I have had problems with, how do I get these fertility drugs do I have to get them from my Dr. or can I take anything over the counter?????????????
YES!!! when you take fertility medicines, you could have multiples. Those med help your ovary produce and release multiples follicles. There are couple ladies who are pregnant with twin and triplet. They have ttc and successful with multiples. it's a blessing.
good luck
