hi,
why are you trying to figure out dates for almost a year ago? just a little confused on that.
it is also helpful to know the length of your cycle (first day of period to the next first day)
so here is what you should consider. women ovulate 14 days before their expected period. ovulation is what spurs the sluff off of your lining and gives you your period. so if you have a 28 day cycle its in the middle at day 14. if its 30 days its day 16 that you would ovulate.
it is very tempted to look at ovulation calculators and think they are true all the time. but that is not exactly the best way to figure it out. there are a few things you can do to figure it out. you can do basal temperature charts and that will show you if you did ovulate but a day or two late, but does confirm that it occurred. you can take opk tests from the pharamacy, they tell you when you have a surge of lh hormones (that is when you ovulate) so you can use those to help you see ovulation day when it happens. and then you can also try to tune into your body. for myself cm (cervical mucous) was my big clue. i would notice changes in my cm. it would start to get heavier and more common and then it would get stretchy and clear. and its when you have egg white looking mucous (ewcm) that you know you are around your fertile window. you can also do a ferning test. i have never done that so you'd have to look that up on line to see how that works. you can also check for your cervix placement and texture. i haven't done that either so you'd have to google that too to see how that works exactly. something that i have also experienced is egg release pains. for me i had cramps for three days during my fertile window. it was like i had bad gas on one side of my body, very strange but that was the month i got pregnant and i noticed strange things happening.
you can also get a lh surge blood test from your doctor and they can confirm ovulation occurred that month.
i hope that gave you some clues about figuring out ovulation. i'm sorry i can't tell you when you ovulated in januay with the information i got. if you are pregnant and are waiting for your little ones arrival then i'd say go with your lmp and do your best to be patient. if its about paternity then you'll have to get a test i guess.
sorry if i wasn't much help.

Be patient.  You only posted an hour ago, and this forum is generally for women who are already pregnant.  I am moving your question to a more appropriate forum.
