Follistim and Ganirelix at the same time!?

Just found out that after only 3 days on Follistim I have to start Ganirelix! I don't think this is a good sign....when I called the DR's back to ask what this meant...I was told that I will know more after Monday after the weekend on the two meds. Which means I really have no idea what this means since i had little to no explanation. Can anyone at least explain what they think is going on.....pretty new to all this and very concerned! Has anyone gone through this and had a good result. Thanks!

There was one larger than the others but when I was there with the Dr. He did not seem too concerned but when they received the blood test back that's when the nurse left me a VM to tell me to change my protocol.  I guess the one could have triggered the change.

i haven't gone through it but ganirelix is typically given to delay ovulation or maybe slow down follicle growth. When you went for  your u/s did you have a large follicle(s) already that the dr thought might look like it could be released at some point soon?
