Hey girls - no BFP but guess what? I am having brain surgery (I swear!)
Hey girls! Thought that would get your attention :) Sorry I have AWOL lately. No AF and no BFP either. Must have got my dates wrong. Wasn't temping so I was shooting in the dark (well hubby was the one shooting! HA!) Anyway, I really do have to have brain/skull surgery. Next Friday the 21st. It *****. I have been in a lot of pain - headaches, backaches, neck pain. So I went to the doc and he ordered an MRI and lo and behold: I have chiari I formation ( look it up). Basically the hole in the back of my skull is too small and my brain has herniated in the back (I dunno why) and it falling into that hole, pushing on my spinal column and allowing cerebral spinal fluid to accumulate (not good). So, the doc is going to cut a bigger hole back there (skull), open up the sheth that covers the brain and attach cow heart muscle (I know - EWWW!!) to give it more room in there. So, I will be out of baby making commision for a while - but we had planned on not doing meds til at least Jan and probably not til summer, so I am not too bummed.
I will be out of work for 6-8 weeks so I will be around when I am laid up in bed and dying from boredom. Probably won't see me for a bit after the surgery but don't worry. I will be fine :) Oh and can you guys get a few more BFP's in here since there is no way I can try, I want to live vicariously through you guys :) HUGS!!! I will be around until next Friday. SSBD to all!

Yeah - it is crazy! THEN MY DH gets in a wreck this morning because some LOG TRUCK pulls out in front of him when it is POURING!! He is fine but the company car is totaled. Then to top it off - the log truck took off! The cops found it on some side road a few miles away ABANDONED! DUH! The cops just traced the license plate to the company. I think we are going to sue them - just for fun!! Hit and run and the guy was doing something he shouldn't have or he would have had enough sense NOT to run when the truck can be traced back to the BIG COMPANY NAME ON THE SIDE!! For God's sake people, really!! :)
Yeah I have to have a sense of humor about all of this or I will start crying and then I won't be able to stop. Going to a movie with my girlfriends at midnight the night before surgery - won't be able to sleep anyway. So they have all counted themselves in on opening night (Twilight) and are going to be sleep deprived just so I can see the movie since I wanted to see it so bad and I will not be in any shape to see it for a good long while.

Wow....that's crazy but good luck with your surgery and recovery well and quickly so you can come back and join us again. And we'll be trying for that BFP for you!!!!!!! Good luck again!
Gosh I know we don't always understand "God's timing" but they say there is a reason for everything. Jen, just rest and take care of yourself, and i hope this will do the trick your future babymaking days!!! Get well soon!!!
Holy Moly! Brain surgery? Wow, what a shocker it must have been to get that news, huh? But if it will help alleviate all the pain you've been having, then it will all be worth it! Best of luck next Friday! You'll definitely be in my thoughts...

You are NUTS girl! I love how you find the humor in everything! I know you will do fine, I'v told you before you r to DA MN rotten for anything bad to happen to ya! ((HUGS)) You will be in my thoughts :)

Whoa! Wait a minute! Next week! Is this just me or is this super fast? Well, the good thing is you will most likely be solving the problem of your aches and pains. Wow. I will be praying for you girl! How is your husband taking it? You definitely have a great attitude and I'm sure you'll do fine. Do you have enough sick days at school for this? I'm sorry you have to have brain surgery, but not really because it is for the best! keep us posted, okay?
Geez...I'm SO sorry you're going through this! You seem to be taking it exceptionally well though - which is amazing! DEFINITELY keep us posted on how you're doing! Once again I'm sorry and I really truly hope everything turns out OK and your recovery goes smoothly.
