Follicle size

Hi

Please let me know
1.What should be the size of follicles so that women can ovulate?
2.Can women ovulate with follicle size between 13mm to 14 mm? If yes then can it lead to pregnancy?

Thanks in advance
SV

my doctor did my iui and said my follicules this month were mature at 15-16 mm.  Your doctor can also do bloodwork to test your estriodol level in correlation to your follicle size.  Estriodol should be 200 ish per each mature follicle.

I was on clomid 50 mg this month for the first time, and by the time i was ready to ovulate, i will be honest, my ovaries were literally aching!!  I had several follicles, but none ever got bigger than 16 mm.   I tried to talk my doctor out of doing the iui, i was afraid they weren't big enough.  He insisted everything was fine, to go ahead with iui.  I ovulated according to my bloodwork, on the day of the iui, ON MY OWN without trigger shot.

I'm not really getting my hopes up though, because my follies weren't as big as I had hoped.  But doctor will probably raise my dose of clomid next cycle and/or do something to boost my follies.  Whatever that may be!

Good Luck to you!!  +++SSBD+++

I think they like the follicles to be 18-22mm for trigger shot.  Not sure about the answer to your 2nd question.
