Getting Pregnant with PCOS

I have PCOS, and have been tryingt o get pregnant 6 months with no luck. My blood work was + for PCOS, but I had a abdominal-transvaginal ultrasound and there were no cysts. Anyone ever had this happen to them? My Dr. says we're going to treat my case as PCOS.  I've been on Clomid for 2 months now (50mg) and if nothing this month, I will go up to 100mg. I had no problems getting pregnant with my 16-month-old son. My progesterone level was pretty much non-existant last time. (the lab that does my bood says that normal when ovulating, according to how their number are, is 7; mine was 1) So I was just wondering.. any advice?

I have PCOS as well and tried three cycles of clomid (50mg) along with monthly monitoring of progesterone and ultrasounds and did not get pregnant.  During all three cycles, I had 2-3 follicles released from my ovaries due to the clomid but I never got pregnant.  I am due to return to my dr tomorrow to see what the next step is.  My dr is suppose to be one of the best infertility drs for PCOS in my area of the country (Texas) and has me on glucophage for the insulin resistance associated with PCOS and also parlodel and dexamethasone.  Your dr should be monitoring your progesterone level during your clomid cycles and provide a supplement to supply you with progesterone if your levels are low.  Good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions of your dr.

Your doctor should manage your progesterone levels if they are low.  You might try IUI along with the clomid as that can increase your chances.  I did 3 months of clomid + IUI which didn't work, and then had surgery to determine if my tubes were blocked.  They weren't, so I moved to injectibles and got pregnant the first try!
