Group insurance that covers infertility?

I have my own company in CA, i'm looking into a new group health insurance, does anyone know of a carrier that covers infertility? IUI, IVF ...?

If you work for a company that covers it, can you please let me know the plan you are on?

I know the feeling Sherri, we did our first IUI last saturday it was $375 and paid it cash, thankfully all the consultations with the Drr leading to the IUI were billed to the insurance company as Specialist Visit and had to only pay the CoPay...

It's so tough being a group of less than 50. We just have no choices. So depressing. I think I have used up half of the $2,000.00 benefit already and I haven't even had an actual IUI yet! :( We might do one this month and then the benefit will be completely gone. There ought to be a law that requires insurance companies to cover infertility (up to a reasonable amount like $10,000).

I'm sorry I don't know the plan yet, although it may be choiceplus??.  It doesn't start until January.  As soon as I know, I will tell you ok? : )   It has 10,000 life time coverage (not alot but more then I have ever had), and it covers IVF,FET,testing ect.  
When I know more... I will update.

All the united health care plans that have infertility only cover $2000, do you know what the name of the plan is by any chance? thank you.

Alright here is what I found for all that are interested:

Kaiser has an HMO plan that covers 50% infertility ($5 Copay plan and $15 Copay plan) (Thank you Risa615 that is the plan you were referring to) it covers IUIs Meds, but NOT IVFs.

As sherri mentioned, Anthem/Blue Cross has a PPO plan that only covers up to $2000 for infertility.

My broker is looking into the Blue Shield Plan to see if there are infertility plans that can be added to a regular PPO plan...

Sherri, we are a group of 6 (me, myself and I, and our wives) :) we currently have an individual plan with Blue Shield that does not cover infertility with high deductible since it was the only one that offers Maternity, we got it Last year hoping she got pregnant in 2010 which never happened. Now i am going to change the plan beginning January 2011, my broker is going to call me soon to tell me more about plans with infertility. I spoke to Blue sheild yesterday (costa mesa office) I was looking at their PPO HSA plan 2000 deductible, $3500 out of pocket max including the deductible, group of 2 employees for $544/month and they have "infertility coverage as optional" so when I asked what will it be she said $38/month additional that will cover up to 6 IUIs medications, exams EXCEPT IVF, now since my employee is my wife and the way the plan will setup is Employee 1 (ME, NO spouse) and Employee 2 (Her, NO Spouse), will they still cover infertility for her or me with "no spouse" got what i mean? I am going to discuss this further with my broker and if she tells me otherwise I will share with the rest of you :)

I have BlueCross BlueShield, and everything's covered except IVF.  I'm in the state of NY, though, and heard that it might be due to a state mandate.  

So unfortunately, I'm not really sure if this info can help you.  But I thought I'd put it out there anyway.  Good luck with everything!

I have my own company, too. We live in SoCal and have Anthem/Blue Cross. The lifetime benefit for infertility is $2,000.00. Yes, that's right $2,000.00! That's about 2 IUI's. Our group is less than 50 people (it's actually a group of 2!), so my insurance agent told me that's all there is (with any carrier). She said only groups over 50 people can get the good infertility coverage. If you find out differently, please let me know! Thanks!

Thank you Shiska for the Information. I was looking into finding out regarding coverage. Thank you, now I can start researching Cigna. God I hope they provide Individual Insurance for fertility. My husband and I live in L.A and we have AETNA through his employer but its a no-go for us.

Cigna has $25000 lifetime coverage. I also live in N.California and for my first 2 IVfs I used Cigna.  
Kaiser only covers %50 for infertility, but does not cover IVF.

Nestle Purina (which is uhc) covers 10,000 towards infertility

Kaiser has plans that covers infertility.  I live in Northern Cal.   The Kaiser plan I have covers IUIs, medication, ultra sounds, and visits.  IVF is not covered.
