HIGH FSH LEVEL PLS HELP ME

I am 29 y.o,had undergone laparascopic surgery last april 2009, both ovaries has a cyst. Now, for almost a year i'm trying to get pregnant. lately, i had my fsh tested, and it was so high, 40.22. My RE told me that my chance of getting pregnant is very slim due to high level of fsh. and she suggested that it is better for us to adopt a child. Since that is a sign of POF (premature ovarian failure) Is there a way to lower the fsh level?

i feel sad, depressed and hopeless. is there still a way for me to get pregnant? i still had my menstruation monthly, regularly. is menstruating means i am still ovulating? Last march, i had two follicles, but sadly, it didnt rupture. thank you

I'm sorry to hear about the bad news you got :(  I'm not in that situation myself, but I read a book about a woman whose FSH was in her 40s (as was her age), and she was able to lower it to teens and did get pregnant at 42 years old! I guess it's hard to know what helped her in the end, but she talks about switching to a vegetarian diet, raw veg juices and yoga. She's a big proponent of all you can (whatever that means, ha!) before you "put your eggs in the dish. If you're interested, the book title is Inconceivable by Julia O.... (search on amazon). I know there are also medications to help women lower their FSH, so ask your doctor and good luck!

Last thought, before you turn to adoption, have you thought about donor eggs maybe?
