I had low progesterone levels and my dr put me on progesterone suppositories which have made my levels normal.
I also have low progesterone. They checked and it was at 3.... They didn't think that I ovulated and said thy were going to increase my dose of clomid. Well I turned out that I was pregnant and I ended up miscarrying because of the low progesterone levels. Just because you have low progesterone does not mean you can't have kids. I take clomid 100 mgs days 2-9 and track my ovulation. 48 hrs after I ovulate I start taking my progesterone pills and keep taking them until when my cycle ends. My cycle didn't end this time. I'm a little over 4 weeks pregnant and my progesterone came back at 35.2! Again just because you have low progesterone doesn't mean that you don't ovulate. Clomid and progesterone seem to be my magical mixture (I hope!) hopefully your doctor can find yours!
Thank you Jamie for the words of wisdom. Glad to know someone got on clomid with a very similar situation!
i have the same problem my doc put me on clomid 50mg days 5to9 and it work for me.dont worrie you can still get preg you just need meds to do so.best of luck to you.
i too took clomid and had very reg cycles but when my blood test came back it said i was not ovulate on my own so my doc put me on clomid 50 mg days 5to9 and got preg with my son first try.so clomid for most does work.good luck to you all
Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about it. We've been trying over a year now and we have began the fertility process. Everything came back normal, my HSG and the semen analysis my husband did. The only problem my OB saw was low progesterone. Therefore, next cycle I'll start clomid. I have very normal cycles and thought only people who had irregular cycles take clomid but that isn't the case. The meds are used to help the release of eggs. Stay positive and continue the process and see what the doctors recommend. Good luck!
Chin Up...fixing progesterone is one of the easiest things to do. :D I to had low progesterone..after ovulation when they do the cycle day 21 blood mine was only 9 and my RE said they like to see it around 15 of higher. After a couple of days of using progesterone suppositories it was 16. :D There's so many things you can do, insert (sorry tmi) or take orally to help with progesterone. Less than one means you probably didn't ovulate but of course there's lots of things to help with that to. I think you'll do just fine and have answers once you see the fertility doctor. Good luck hun and please keep us posted! :)
It just means you haven't ovulated. If you have problems ovulating on your own, there are ovulation-indiucing drugs out there that can help you get pregnant, like clomid, which is just a pill you take for five days in the beginning of your cycle. Bets of luck!
