hey i just had a quick question for you if thas ok...i injected my self with 75 of the gonal-f 3 nigths in a row i went to the doc. for the u/s and blood work and i was called by my nurse the same day and she says that nothing had really changed so she told me to increase my dose to 150 and i had to get another pen im going back tomorrow morning for another u/s and blood work do you think ill need to inject myself more?im going to have to get a third pen its like $219 each pen..i did the 150 for two nites now im hoping this time somenthing changed..what would be the next step? sorry soo many questions but you already went tru it so i feel like you know whats going on..thank you so much. By the way when do you go in for your test?
hey just wanted to update you..i went to see my re today for blood work and u/s and i found out that my follciles are growning the biggest one is 17 i did another injection tonite and i go back tomorrow morning for another blood work and u/s the nurse also told me that my levels were 420 is this good? i will be on cd15 tomorrow i guess ill be ovulating a little late than usual but i dont care as long it works im happy when do u you to the doc.? let me know. thank you.
I am sorry if i confused you. I thought that you was taking your injections in your tummy. The nurse told you right to inject it in your thigh. The medication should not make you gain any weight. It is best if you work out while on fertility meds because it helps to increase ovulation that is what I was told by my RE. I did not mean to upset you. Just try to remain positive and it will be ok
well now im mad!! im 5'8 and i weight 300lbs im already overwieght as it is...and this is making me gain more weight, and the begging i was injecting myself in my stomach than the nurse suggested in my upper legs she says being overweight maybe this way ill get better results...why dint they just put me on IM injections to being with!!! this is soo frastuaring if this dosent work i dont know if i can afford anything else rite now...my husband just got laid off work for couple weeks and we are trying not to spend money!
Try to keep your spirits up, it is time consuming but the end result is well worth it. Like I said they may have to change you to IM (intramuscular) injections. I know with me since I have put on a few extra pounds that the sub-Q injections my not metabolize the way that it would on a person who may be 20lbs less than me. So, stay focused and things will work out. I understand that this is a costly process and yes it does take up lots of time.
hey thas ok. ive been going crazy since this is my first time on this medication they dont know how im going to react on it and its been a mess they had me do 75 for 3 days than they increased it to 150 for two days and now for the past 3 days ive been doing 225 so total shots rite now 8 and im due for one tonite too and i go back to the RE tomorrow i will be cd14 im not sure whats going to happen than...im hoping this will be the last shot i feel sick to my stomach every nite when i have to inject myself and every day two days blood work and u/s omg im going nuts i swear!! this better work ive spent so far $1,095.00 just on meds now im waiting for the medical bills and i will be doing an IUI if everything goes to plan...i really hope you get ur BFP...keep me posted...thank you so much.
I have been busy lately, but to answer your questions the first dose is an test dose to see how your body reacts to the meds. When I started I was on 75 also and then they made me double my dose. So, if it does nothing this time they will more than likely have you change your injection route to IM that way it gets into your system better. No, I would not injected myself more because of the risk of having a liter. Just be patient and things will work out by the way try walking at least 30-45 minutes a day this also help out with fertility. I test on Thursday but I think it may come back bfn I have had no symptoms and plus I ovulated on the side that I don't have a tube. We will see what happens on Thursday and I will keep you updated on the results. If you have anymore questions let me know and I will do my best to help you out.
