Hello! It sounds like you have been through a lot of tough stuff. I also have fibroids and had a myomectomy. After 1.5 years of trying, I stopped being in denial snd we went to a specialist at Shady Grove Fertility. We found out that there were male factors making it hard to get pregnant...doctors need to be looking at your partner, not just you. It took a few rounds of IVF before we had a viable pregnancy but now we have a healthy almost 2year old.
Have a good consultation with a repro center. They'll study your previous medical history, conditions etc. They'll talk you through the next steps and what kinds of things they need to understand to get a full picture. The appointment is not just for you, your dh needs to be involved as well. They might discuss your weight. If your BMI is over a set amount then they will point towards that as something that needs to be worked on. The doc will also ask you about diet, stress levels, habits etc. You'll need to pass the following tests: Progesterone CD21 Blood Test. LH, FSH, Estrogen, Progesterone & Testosterone CD2-5 Blood Test. Ultrasound on Uterus. HSG Scan (though you've already been through several). When we came to our new clinic overseas they wanted us both to pass all the relevant tests (even though we've done some previously, they did want to make sure!) Everything your doc requests is to give them a better picture of why you haven't conceived yet!! Work with them. Try to get your tests done as quickly is possible to ensure you speed through the process. Again, sometimes you may need to repeat tests, this is just to double check results, don't be too alarmed. At the end of these hurdles, you will be given options for your treatment. One day it'll all be worth it because you'll have your baby! I know all this because I've spent yrs jumping through all these hurdles and now we're prego with our IVF baby#1. All the best to you, honey.
