How do you know?

Okay, so this is my first cycle.  Because I'm 42 and husband is 42, we took femara and did injectables of Gonal-F and trigger of Ovidrel.  The first u/s on previous cycle showed a cyst too big so waited till this cycle to start IUI.  Okay, had 3 follicles in right ovary and 4 follicles in left ovary.  Most were 17-18 mm 2 days prior to IUI.  Doc said I responded well.  Had my progesterone blood test last Friday and they called.  Wanted 30 and mine is 124.4.  They said I could take a pg test on Thursday or Friday; the paperwork said to do it 2 wks after IUI.  So when should I?   Did anyone feel differently?  Should I be having any feelings or things that would indicate I'm pregnant?  Afraid to take test in case it's negative.

Hi Jodimon! Some women have pregnancy symptoms towards the end of the 2WW (two week wait), and some don't...but if you do get symptoms, mild cramping and extra tender breasts seem to be the most common...although your high progesterone will probably make your breasts extra sore this month anyway. As for your progesterone levels, they're very good, and since they're so high, it indicates that you definitely had more than one of your eggs release (the follicles left behind are the ones producing progesterone). Normally, people wait till at least 12 days past ovulation on IUI before testing, but if it's negative, it could still be too early, so if you do test, just keep that in mind. Best of luck to you!
