hi schelle. I'm not familiar with sperm count numbers but since he's gotten u pregnant before u should be optimistic!!
I'm going tomorrow morning to get an ultrasound and hopefully have my tigger shot since i haven't had a surge. Then we will probably bd all weekend ;) keep ur fingers crossed for us. E
I did my first one this morning also! I had very big follicles on my right ovary (where I have a blocked fallopian tube) so my DH and I weren't gonna do the procedure because the chances are pretty darn slim! My RE said that my tube may not be blocked and he's seen it tons of times before or my other tube could pick up one of my eggs... I was pretty devastated this morning when they told me which side was about to drop an egg. This is the 2nd time this has happened and last time we decided against doing it... But our RE convinced us that we should try it so we did but I'm gonna try to not get my hopes up either... I'm sure nothing happened and I'll be back again tryin next month and a month is a loooong time!!!! I hope everything works out for you guys! =)
Final concentration 2.2 million
Final Volume .3 .illionFinal Motility 48%
OMG it is so low i thought it was low but GEE not that low
What do you think my chances are i will give you the numbers
Normal Forms 61%
Abnormal head 18%
Abn Midpiece 16%
abnormal 5%
but the volume is .3ml
and that is all after it was washed
schelle. I sent u such good energy this morning!! The dr confirmed what u thought about dh? How are u feeling? Xo e
I did for 1st IUI this morning it was not bad at all,but my DH has very low sperm count so i am trying not to get my hopes up for i cant take another month of disappointments.Good Luck to you !!
I had my first IUI last Sunday, and I had no problems whatsoever. Maybe some cramping afterwards, but I was already having O pain, so it was hard to tell. I was maybe a little sore when we had to BD the next couple of days after, but other than that it was a piece of cake for me. (But I had neck surgery, so maybe I am biased when it comes to procedures!)
I read somweher that the succes rate can be up to 70% with three tries, but statistics depend on whether you use husband or donor sperm, causes of infert., etc. It does sound as if your chances are excellent with 2 follicles and a history of pregnancy from your DH.
I only had 1 follicle, and was nervous, but I found a girl on this forum who is 5 weeks pregnant from her first IUI and one follicle, so you should feel very optimistic! Keep us posted :-)
I am having my first IUI in the morning as well! Good luck to you! =)
It's a piece of cake! I had very mild cramping an hour or so after the procedure. Good luck! I will be doing IUI #2 sometime this weekend...
Thanks for the information i hope and pray this will be the month. the 2ww drives me crazy lol
With two follicles you have a good chance! If your dh got you pregnant 3 times in the past he is probably OK. I hope IUI works for you. I'll am looking forward to reading your update in two weeks.
I am only taking femara my u/s today showed 2 follicles one 24 and the other 22 .not confirmed yet but i think my DH has a low sperm count i quess i will know for sure tomorrow before the iui but he has got me prego 3 times now 2 ended in mc but i have a healthy 4 year old son too.
I had my first IUI done in Oct. and I was terrified..but it was all over nothing. The actual procedure for me was painless...not even uncomfortably...I thought it would be, but nope. After the procedure though is a total different story...I had really bad cramps and what felt like pressure..I hope that helps..
If you are taking injectables + trigger, success rates are around 25-35%. They also depend on SA, age, and causes of infertility. Without injectables and fertility drugs success rates are lower. The procedure is unpleasant but quick. I just had mine yesterday for the first time. Feels like a bad AF cramp but again the procedure is just a minute long. You may have mild cramping afterwards but that's about it.
Good luck!
