I pay $250 per IUI plus clomid costs about $40. My insurance does not cover infertility treatments so I pay out of pocket. HSG costs around $1000 although my insurance covered that since it's diagnostic rather than treatment. It doesn't matter who does your HSG as long as your insurance covers it.
Hello!
Clomid is relatively inexpensive. I think it's about $60 or so per month. The HSG shot is also $60 or so. IUI should cost ~$300.00. The other costs will be associated with blood tests and ultrasounds, though somehow my RE billed all that through insurance under PCOS.
It started costing me quite a bit of money when I did an injectible cycle. That was a flat rate of $1300, plus $300 for the IUI, plus another $1200 or so for the medication. Ouch.

You have to be on Birth control for the cysts to go away. It may take some time but it will go.You can do the hsg to the obgyn and not pay your Re and just pay the cycle you're gonna do. Actually that is a good price. I pay $2000 for a cycle and since i don't have coverage is all payed out of my pocket. The injectables are extra, but fortunately my Re has given me 2 cycles free of injectables since they were donated to him. The IUI is $400 extra and my Re does two days in a row of IUI not only one. So is $800 for the IUI. So i would say yours is a good price.
As far as the cysts go, I just had to take some time off from the meds and go on birth control pills to make them go away. If you do have a cyst and take the clomid, then only the cyst will grow, not the follicles. (at least that's what my RE said) I took two and half weeks off from any fertitlity meds and went on birth control pills. Now the cysts have gone away and am starting the injectables next week.
As far as the cost goes, I don't know where you live, but here in New Orleans, my RE charges a flat rate of $1050 during an injectable cycle that covers all doctor visits, ultrasounds, and bloodwork. The IUI is an additional $400. I would say if you're being monitored thoroughly through ultrasounds and bloodwork, it sounds like a reasonable charge of $1200.
Best of luck to you!!
