bleeding after ivf negative blood test but....

ivf on 7-28-09 18 eggs husband perfect, zona layer wouldn't allow sperm to penitrate (sp.)next day icsi. had 2 left one better than the other but they were both transferred on 7-31-09. on 7-13-09 started bleeding bright red blood little, sent me on in for preg test negative. this is the question for me the dr. office said I would bleed heavily take anything I wanted for cramps (never had any) stop progesterone, and just stopped Friday eve. I am still having headaches, sore breasts, nausea, so tired. How long does it take for the symptoms to go away? OR COULD i STILL BE PREGNANT?Has anyone ever had this happen to them, if so what happened?

not too sure how to respond but I do have a co-worker who had a similar experience years ago.  She had IVF done and blood test came back neg.  they asked he to stop the progesterone and said he cycle should start within 2 days.  Well that never happened.  When she called and explained this to them, she asked for another preg test but they insisted that they've seen this before and that in some women, it takes a bit longer.  so they gave her some pills (not sure what they were called) and said cycle should start in a few more days.  a few more weeks went by and nothing..turns out she ended up miscarrying so she was preg the whole time.  Just that the blood did not pick it up initially...
so there is a possibility that you may still be preg but i do not want to get your hopes up so just see if you can have another test done.
good luck to you and your dh.
regards,
marline
