You may be testing at the wrong time, and missing the surge, or you are not ovulating or ovulating irratically. Even if you have what may seem like regular periods.
I'm not that familiar w/Vitex, but think its an alternative med for Clomid which helps to stimulate ovulation. Honestly, am not sure you will have good results at your age (sorry), but you never know. I know a lot of clinics will not see someone over 45 and won't do IVF unless you have a donor.
Not to pry, but can you see the specialist sooner? Its best not to waste time at this age. I am 41, have been trying for 3 years and had 3 m/c. My doc says I probably have another year of either successful preg or failed/miscarriage before moving on to other options (like donor eggs). I am 100% sure the specialist will recommend donor eggs, atlhough you should get your hormones tested, your levels may be better than average.
Best of luck to you, I hope this works for you.
odds of pregnancy naturally at age 47 are very low, and odds with fertility meds don't increase much. they will likely counsel you to consider a donor egg, so start thinking what you will do in that situation, are you prepared to go ahead?
vitex is supposed to help, and can't hurt to try. i wish you the best of luck and i hope you succeed despite the odds.
