At 33, age is probably not a substantial issue yet. The most substantial declines in fertility typically happen after 35. However, 33 isn't that terribly far off 35, so some people will have declines earlier. Have you spoken with a doctor? Eight months really isn't outside the scope of normal, but I can understand being concerned, and your doctor could run some simple blood tests to give you an idea of if age might be a factor. As for treatments, no, IVF is most likely not the only option at this point so long as you ovulate with open tubes and your partner has healthy sperm. The odds are definitely well in your favor right now! But seeking some initial diagnostics might help give you more information on where to go from here.
At 33 I don't think age is an issue. Some people try for years. That doesn't mean you have problems conceiving naturally. It's always good to take the pre natal vitamins before trying.
