Injectables? need info
Hey ladies, I took a couple week break from all this after losing our 4th baby but i recently had my follow up appt with my doc and we have a plan and i feel a sense of renewed hope not that it makes things any easier in the least and I miss my little ones oh so much every day.
So our new plan is to do a HSG when I get my period and then the next cycle do clomid with injectables. What should I expect from the injectables. All I know is that I have to in office u/s when I do them, a starting base one and then one day 12. SIde effects? where do I give myself the shot? cost? (nto that it would sway us anyways but curious) Increased chance of multiples even more than with just clomid? When I go in for my day 12 u/s that will show me how many follicles i have right? and what exactly are follicles? how many should i produce? sorry i'm so new to injectables! thanks in advance!

I had 2 follicles and one beautiful little baby girl. All on the first cycle we did this. We also said we were only going to do this once because of my age and we couldn't afford it all again($1500 out of pocket. May not be much to some but with two other kids and being a stay at home mom it is lol) and we definately couldn't afford ivf. It makes u feel better with a real plan in place. how many folliciles did you have during that cycle of injectables? did you get pregnant with one or more?
I'm excited for a new "plan" but nervous all the same. This is kinda our last try in a sense b/c if we get pregnant and it ends badly then we both said we are done. I've already lost 4 but have 1 amazing 2.5yr old as well and i want so badly to give her a sibling!

Depends on which injectibles u use. The meds we did were femara(pill), follistim(50 but increased to 75 then 150 during my 1st cycle using it injection in fatty part of thigh u can also inject in the fatty part of stomach but I couldn't do thst) estrace(pill) novarel(10000iu hcg injection in the upper fatty part of thigh) and progesterone suppositories. I didn't have any side effects except pregnancy it worked first cycle. Not sure about cost my insurance covered some and some was included in cost at re's office and those that it didn't I went to manufacture websites and got coupons. I am not sure if injectibles with clomids makes multiples chance higher. Follicles are eggs waiting to b
