Does anyone living in california, have insurance that is not work related - that covers IVF. Blue Shield does not cover anything to do with infertility?

Hi. Unfortunately most insurance companies won't cover anything related to infertility, especially IVF ;(  I live in Southern CA & just did my 1st IVF. We applied to a program called The Attain Program through Integramed. You might want to check them out. They have a package deal, where you get up to 6 IVF attempts. It is expensive, but if you need more than one IVF cycle to get your BFP, it ends up being less expensive than paying through your doc's office. Your doc's office may also have an IVF plan that might work for you as well ;) I also have a separate prescription insurance through my husband's work. It's called Express Scripts. My IVF meds were all covered! I only paid the co-pays. Good luck!!!
