Clomid...

I need to know some side effects to Clomid.  I am on my first round and I know the side effects I was told to look for.  How long do these side effects last and did you have any side effects that weren't told to you by the doctor?  I took my Clomid the 7th through the 11th of this month and I am still feeling extremely nauseous.  I try to eat crackers to deal with the nausea but it isn't helping.  I am also having cramping (which is more like spasms then anything) in my abdomen....kind of looks like bloating in my lower abdominal region but it doesn't feel like bloating (if that makes any sense).  I was told that these were normal side effects but I wasn't informed how long they should last.  I have extremely low progesterone.  I tested at a level of .47 on March 10th and I had to test for pregnancy on March 25th before my doctors would place me on Provera again for the second month in a row since my AF didn't start on its own for the fourth month in a row (I didn't go to the doctor until February 5th for this problem because I thought my anxiety disorder was causing me to miss).  I am new to this whole process and would appreciate any help.  I just want some reassurance that this is what I am supposed to be feeling.  My doctor has told me that my only issue is low progesterone.  Other than that I should be able to conceive with no problems as soon as my levels are up and she fears that I may get pregnant with my levels extremely low (she has apparently had it happen where a woman ovulated really low and got pregnant with a progesterone level below 5 which lead to miscarriage).

Hey, hope you are feeling better today. I have actually been off and on of Clomid for about 1 year now. I got my AF March 4th (natuarlly, which isn't normal because I am very irrgeular) and I start 3-7cmd. I am still now having side effects. What mg are you on? I was on 150mg. This by far has been the worst time! I have bloating, extremely nausea! with vomiting all throu out the day, lower abdom pain (which just started 4 days ago), lower back pain, head achs, breast have got 2 cup sizes bigger and they hurt!!  And I am 5 wks out. I was told that Clomid stays in your system up to 6 months. I have taken 2 hpt both came back negitive. But I know something is up.
I hope I was able to give you some type of light. There is a great group on here with a group of women who are and have used Clomid with alot of support. It is great! I think you should join us. Let me know if you need anything else! Baby dust to you!!

HI I did 5 rounds of clomid and experienced the same things as you, but in addition I had hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, thinned linning and vision changes in bright light (everything had wavy line around it).  I felt like I gained 5-10lbs while on clomid but it would slowly go away when i stopped taking it for the cycle maybe around cd12-14 I took it cd3-7.  Clomid can stay in your system a while so it might take longer to leave yours.  I also have low progesterone My doc puts my on prometrium at 3dpo until AF or BFP.  good luck I hope some of that helps.
