My 2wws is not finished, and I found that my AF arrived. I guess, this is the end of my 1st IVF journey. I thank all of your supports and encouragement, hope that all of you will continue this journey all the way.
Hi,
How are you??? I'm hoping this note finds you back to new! Good lord, no wonder you were having problems! 26 follies??? I can only imagine how that felt! Last cycle I was on Clomid and had 5 good follies. When I ovulated I couldn't believe how painful it was!!!!
So today you went back for a Beta update? How did it go??
I have 2 more days until my Beta. I tested this morning (couldn't help myself) BFN. I'm bummed but hoping it was still too early. I just feel very blegh right ow, my bbs are crazy sore and I feel bloated and fat (I think these could all be pms symptoms PLUS I am a runner and a work out girl, and this last 2 weeks of no working out has near killed me..I need exercise for my psyche, but also it keeps me trim. If I AM preggers (fingers crossed) hopefully I will be able to start up again. Wednesday's test seems a lifetime away!!!
I am so HAPPY to see we got some BFP on this thread!!!!!!
I go back to the RE on Dec18 day 20 he will recheck me and if no new cyst have formed i will start lupron on Dec 19 day 21.Hope everyone has a good weekend!
Thanks for thinking of me! I am feeling better, but still weak. I am off work the rest of the week/weekend and might try to go back Monday afternoon depending on how I feel. At least I am self employed so I can control when I take off, but I don't get paid time off so that's a bummer. At least we have plenty put away to live off of for quite a while so I'm going to try not to worry about the not working part. But I still worry about it. The OHSS I developed was due to the fact I was high risk. I am under 35, thin framed (5 foot 10, 145 pounds), have PCOS, had many small to medium sized follicles. I had 26 follicles all together that were aspirated. All of these put you at risk for OHSS, especially the moderate to severe kind. And that's what I have. I am measuring my belly twice a day and keeping track of my fluid intake and output. The Lovenox (blood thinner shots) in the belly definitely sting more and bruise a lot more than the stim shots. I go back in Monday for a repeat Beta. I am confident I will get a good number! I am keeping the faith!
As far as your symptoms go, I really did not have any symptoms other than mild dizziness 5 days after my 5 day transfer. And this might have been my OHSS because I was bloated and sore anyway. I was just so impatient that's why I took the test and I really was expecting it be be negative. I was telling people I didn't think it worked, just like you. Much to my surprise, it did. Even now I don't have pregnancy symptoms. The doctor says every symptom I'm having is from the OHSS. So don't worry about not having symptoms!
I am thinking of you and hope you hang in there! Take care of yourself and keep me updated, okay?
Hi,
I cannot believe all that you have gone thru! Are you feeling better? So all the bloating and discomfort you had been feeling after your ET was all about the ovarian hyperstimulation? Did they say it was due to meds and stimulating too many eggs? So now you wait until Monday for the next beta? Try to relax this weekend and get your strength back, I hope Monday bring great numbers for you!
I am on day 6 of 2 day transfer. I feel nothing. Only the slight occasional cramping but really minute. Slightly sore bbs but that's it. I'm beginning to think this cycle was a bust. I go in for beta on Wednesday..I hope I can hold out that long and not test!!!
Hi ladies, I spent the entire day in the hospital today. I was so bloated and full I began vomiting last night and this morning and couldn't even keep water down. They did a paracentesis and drained 3 liters of fluid off my abdomen! My belly immediately went down and I feel so much better. I hadn't eaten anything for 24 hours. I actually just ate part of a Quiznos sandwich and some doritos. I might have to have it done again but they say as long as I drink plenty of water and rest, I should be through the worst of it. I am so glad they drained it. It was crazy, it looked like root beer. They also put me on anti nausea meds as needed, and they said I have to do a anti-coagulant shot in my belly every night for up to 2 weeks. My blood was concentrating and getting thicker from being dehydrated and this places me at higher risks for clots, so one more shot in the belly! THought I was done with those! They did a Beta Hcg (3 days earlier than planned) and it was 169. Doc says at that point they expect it to be 100 so this was a great number. THey will check in Monday to see if it has doubled. Hope everyone is doing well. THe past couple days have been really rough but I am so thankful they can treat the symptoms and relieve the pressure by taking off the fluid. Wow, what a difference.
