Ovulation Sickness

4 years ago my obgyn gave me high doses of clomid to try and help me and my husband have another child. I took it for 6 months and when I stopped I started getting really sick durring my ovulation.

For about a 24-36 hour period durring my ovulation I get moments of severe heat flashes that cause my to vomit but to the hand I am clammy, my mind seems to wonder off to wierd times in my life, I become very exhausted after each episode and my doctors have tested me durring one of these episodes but said that I am just ovulating...they cant tell me anything else....I am hoping that someone has a similar experience......

Well for me its a bit difficult....its not a normal feeling. First I get a hot flash and my blood gets so hot that I start to remember wierd **** for 30 seconds and then I start to hypervenelate and then it passes all this lasts for about 1-2 minutes but the after affect is rough. I feel like my body just went through some big ordeal, which I guess in a way it did.

Howdy,

Yuppers.. i've had the same experience (without the clomid) during ovulation several times. Two times in the last two years I've been sick with pain for around 8 hours each time.. to the point where I'm physically ill and sweating, shivering, incoherent. Hospital says that everything is fine and this is normal.  I have to laugh! But, I guess that this can be a blessing when trying to track ovulation (not the severe times, but the feeling "off" times).

Thanks for the reply.....I have been dealing with this for 3 years now....it is the strangest feeling, but I know that it is due to my ovulation because I take an ovulation test everytime it comes and as well as I know it Im ovulationg.

I actually get really sick like that while ovulating on the clomid....but ovulation can be different for everyone so that may be ur bodies way of handling the hormonal changes...hope this helps
