I wouldn't say I am suffering from it but I do have it. My RE believes mine was inherited vs. a result of gaining weight as I am not severely overweight or obese, which can cause PCOS. I have had two successful IVF cycles but I also responded well to the meds I was put on. My RE says the best way to manage PCOS is to take any excess weight off with proper diet and exercise, which is a double edged sword because PCOS makes it hard to take off due to the insulin resistance issue and to keep off the weight. The only way I could take weight off and not have it come back fast was to go on a very disciplined weight lifting regimen. It scares me that we have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes so once my babies are born, I am back on my program : )
My RE was shocked I didn't have gestational diabetes with my daughter (failed first one hour test but passed the second three hour fasting one). I just failed my one hour glucose test yesterday and need to do the three hour one on 1/13. UGH.....
Good luck! There is also a PCOS forum on MH if you aren't already on it.

Thanks, i did have that done before and it didn't make much of a difference. So i don't know what to do now.
I would get a second opinion... Because there are options for PCOS. I'm only on treatment with clomid and metformin atm. But some re's say they can do a small op to remove some cysts... Honestly i would go for another opinion. Lisa x
