your thoughts on bloodwork results..

hi everyone,
sorry to be a pain...i just got back my bw results...and i started on progesterone suppositories (prometrium) a week ago today...at first progesterone went up a little ..but now is back down...what does that mean? is there anything else i can do to bring up the level? i think my beta looks good right??

12/10 (monday)
beta=   261.9
pro=     14.5

12-13 (thursday)
beta=    965.4
pro=      17.84

12-17 (monday)
beta=     4198
pro=      15.14

tomorrow dh and i will be going in for more bw and ultrasound. if i go by my last period i am 5 weeks 5 days tomorrow. what should we expect to see??????? any imput would be greatly appreciated!!!

diane...i can totally relate about the nurse or staff at the doctors offices...its like ..get it together already..we are very hormonal women over here....lol

phen woman...my due date is supposed to be 8-15-08...so looks like we are very close...i have pretty  much thrown up everyday now...so i understand what you are going thru...

we all  need to stay in touch ...since we are all close together inn due dates...where are you guys from? I live in NJ.

My due date is July 10, 2008. I still can't believe this is my reality!

you and I are the same amount of weeks....when is your due date?  Mines is around or about 8/8/08.   I had my IUI on the 21st of Nov.  I had an u/s too and you're right it was as small as a typed letter "o"....lol!  I go for another u/s on the 26 Dec...right after christmas....hoping for a heartbeat (which I know I will here) I have faith that everything will be alright...let's keep each other updated!

P.S. Who ever said that morning sickness had to happen in the mornings....LOL!  Mines happens after I eat at anytime.....Blugh!  My husband been great!  He naps with me, makes sure I take my prenatal vitamins and makes sure that we go for walks after I eat....Daddy Drill SGT....LOL!

I have found that the people on the phone that call often do not have the answers!!!  The dr's assistant (who I thought was a nurse at first but later found out she's an asst to the dr - not a nurse) said I have a chromosome mutation...  When I asked the dr about it he said it was not a mutation but an enzyme...  uh- big difference!!!  - treatment is the same however - baby aspirin.

hi everyone,
well this morning dh and i went for our first us.... i am 5 weeks 5 days.....my RE said everything looked great...we saw the yolk sac...and what appeared to be a fetus (looked like a grain of rice)... he said that all my levels are right on target and next week i should hear the heart beat. when i brought up the progesterone level going up and then down....he said not to worry...although i take the suppositories 2x daily...and the level went down a little...he said that if i was to take them orally...it would show up in bloodwork...but since i insert them it wouldnt show in the numbers. so we were very relieved. you would think his nurse that calls with the bw results would have communicated it to me all this week whaen i was worrying!!!! but in any case i am relieved we have gotten this far! thanks for everyone encouragement this past week.....i will keep you all posted!!!

thank you all so much for responding to me...you are all angels....i feel so much better when i hear from all of you...tomorrow dh and i are going at 7am for the ultra sound....i will let you know what happens!!!!!!!!!!

Your numbers do look good. you must be so excited for the u/s tomorrow. I'd love to hear what it shows. My numbers are similar but my u/s isn't until next week. GOOD LUCK!

If it helps - I was told by my dr's office that they like to see progesterone above 10. I think too it makes a difference in what time your blood is drawn and what time you take the supplement...

Hopefully the dr will explain everything tomorrow, bec that's what I would think that prgesterone should go up especially since you're using uplements.  Maybe the nurse doesn't know what she is talking about AGAIN.  HCG looks good thought.

I'm still hanging in there todai is 9 DP IUI, having a lot of cramping, and sore bbs but that's pretty much it.  I had my progesterone done yesterday and was told that it's 30.
Infection is almost gone, I asked re yesterday if he can suggest any other way to treat it, bec I've been using minmal meds.  So he said to continue with Monistat and either use it externally or use prog. earlier in the evening, and then 5 hour later tak monistat.  But also he said that it's probably not infection just feels like one, bec prog is very irritable.  And honestly I have no cm except for the prog left overs in the morning.  So maybe he is right and it's not infection , but the important thing is that it's better.

I'll keep looking out for your update on your dr appt.  GOOD LUCK!!!

so, lexima, i know you are on the suppositories...did your levels go up? and how are you feeling...i remeber you posting that you had discomfort from them...was it a yeast infection? i hope all is well...

What did the dr say?  is it normal for progesterone to fluctuate?
