could my prenatals be making me sick?

Hi Ladies,
Lord you would think my having 2 children already I would remember some of this stuff.. I was prescribed PrimaCare (combination pack) prenatal vitamins and ever since I started taking them I have been getting sick late at night. So much so that I can't go to bed for like 2 hours after taking them. I have tried eating crackers, a piece of bread, toast, a banana.. everything.. Anyone got any good ideas? Anyone else take these kind of prenatal's?

Try cutting in half and take in the morning and the other half at night.   I've heard prenata vitamins make lost of people sick.

I can't even swallow mine at this point even w/cutting them in half.  I am taking folic acid separately.  Is anyone having that problem?  Even the thought of putting them in my mouth makes me wanna (well ya'll know).

OMG yes, they made me sicker than any morning sickness I ever had.  I agree with the evening dose with dinner that's the only thing that worked for me.

A lot of the time it's the iron that makes you sick. Maybe try taking the evening dose at dinner time?

Hi Ladies,

Mine are a combination pack, AM/PM. I take one in the morning and one at night. They have DHA and EPA in them. The thing I do like about them is that they contain a stool softener.. oOo.. i like the extra help..lol.. it could be that I have been sneezing today too. I guess I'll maybe give them a couple more days to get used to them.

the vitamins can make you sick.  My OB gave me different samples for that reason.  I tried one kind and ended up switching to Citracal with DHA...they don't make me sick.  I've been taking them at night before bed.  If you take them during the day make sure you eat with them...

They sell suckers at Babies R us that will help a great deal, I think they have Ginger in them anyways they will help any kind of Morning sickness or evening sickness so try those out.  You should try to take them in the morning after breakfast also.  The pregnancies themselves never made me sick but the vitamins always did.  Hope this helps
