Leftover meds?

I'm wondering what others did with any leftover meds after IVF treatment. I am struggling with just throwing them away but know that I can't return them, even unopened. Did you store and save for a period of time? Mine expire within a  year so I know I can't use them again, and prayerfully never have a reason to. Did you actually put in the trash? Anyone's clinic have a use for them? I just can't imagine putting these meds in the garbage, but I don't know what else to do with them.

I supposedly sold mine to someone on here!
BUT she passed me a bad check
From now on, I would donate - but ouch the entire sealed box of meds AND I paid for the shipping too
I am not sure how that woman can live with herself!

I only have one med that's unopened and will be taking it to my RE's office. The unopened stuff is technically supposed to be disposed of at a pharmacy or doctor's office.

Thanks guys! I'll have to call my clinic and ask. My insurance didn't cover ANY of my meds and my clinic didn't offer to assist so I wonder if they give meds to fertility patients, but it's definitely worth asking.

I kept mine for a little while b/c I wanted to make sure that I would not need to use them within a few months. One of my friends was going to undergo IVF to conceive her 2nd child, and her insurance did not cover ANY of the costs for the 2nd child, so I gave her my unopened leftover meds. She took all but 1 of the drugs. I donated that one to my clinic. I

I agree with happynifer...donate it to the clinic where you had your IVF done. That way it won't go to waste and can help another couple out who's struggling with the costs.
