Low First Beta Success Stories

Hi everyone.  It's been ages since I've posted here but in the past I got tremendous support and met wonderful people thru this board.  I recently did a FET and just got my first beta.  10days past 5day transfer and the number was 28.7.  I know its most likely not viable but I figure if there is anywhere to get encouragement this would be the place.  Anyone have a low beta success story they wanna share?

my first pregnancy mine came back 3 they said not pregnant.  i tested at home 5 days later and got a bfp. it carried that baby for 12 wonderful weeks until my water broke. it was a very healthy baby and if my plug had not of come out it would have been fine. GL.
they should repeat the blood work and it should double ever 24-48 hours.  meaning it should be a 12 when u go back.  If u cant go back then do a home pregnancy test in 4 days and it should show up + because in two days it should be at least a 12 and in 4 days it should be a 24. if u buy a $1 test from the dollar store/ tree it detects at 20mlus.

Good luck

Sasparilla, I am trying to contact you but your message board is refusing messages.????

Girls, sorry to hear about the low Beta's.  Mine was low also around 30 & then double to 84, 154, 738 & then around 900.  Mine resulted in m/c
It seems to me in my opinion the girls that make it usually start out around 200- or higher.

My beta is 37 and double still week 6, but end up ectopic pg and remove right tube.  Yes, I hate to give myself the PIO even it's not a healthy pg.  Now, I'm 16 weeks pg on the 5th IVF for the first child.  I hope this is not your case.  Best luck to you.

Thanks for the kind words, i know there is no chance its almost like why bother with the next two days and test again!
I agree, I am so sore from shots it will be nice to not have to deal with them for a while.  I have one frozen egg so hopefully that thaws nicely and we can try again.  after that its back to the drawing board.

Heather, I really am sorry to hear that you are dealing with this as well right now.  I've had much experience with IVF and honestly in my opinion a really low first beta is usually worse than a BFN.  It's so hard to do those darn shots as well after getting a low number.  But I understand why they tell us to do so... just in case.  Well best wishes to you Heather.  And don't give up.  I have triplets, perfectly healthy, and they came as the result of my FOURTH round of IVF. It's a long hard road sometimes but you will get your blessing if you keep trying. Baby dust your way.

Helen, yes, it's the ectopic I fear most.  The numbers game has never worked out in my favor.  Reminds me how happy I felt when I got that first beta with the girlies!

Kahlua, thank you for sharing your story.  I was really really hoping I'd log on tonite and find some inspiration or encouragement.  You have given me a reason to go to bed with some positive thoughts.  Thank you again for sharing, and congrats to you!!!!!!!

Kari,
the most important thing is for beta to double every 2 days or so.  The level is not as important.  But if your beta does not go up or increases slowly, you should be monitored for potential ectopic.
I hope your beta skyrockets on Wednesday!!!

Hi Kari:

Sorry no success story but I am in the same boat, I am 12 days past a 5 day transfer and my first beta is 8.5.  So basically bad, the dr is having me continue the pregestorine shots and come in again wednesday to see what my bloodwork says.  I am not optimistic at this point.  This is my first cycle.

So I am in the same place as you, any good outcomes for low betas!
