Luteal Phase Defect and Progesterone Supplements

My doctor just put me on progesterone suppositories due to my luteal phase defect.  My "condition" was detected about 10 days after ovulation and I started the supplements that night.  Is that too far into the cycle to save a possible pregnancy?  How long does it take for the suppositories to increase my progesterone level?

Hi.  I responded to your note & just saw this post.  I agree with Heather that I think it starts working right away.  Just be sure to continue taking them & I'll keep you in mind & hope for the best!!! :)

I think they pretty much start to work right away. As for whether or not it was too late to start this month, it's hard to say. How long were your luteal phases before?
