My husband is also C6 quad and we also would like to try and have a baby. What is NHS that is helping fund and if we can exchange emails with both of you for more info. I would really appreciate the knowledge because we have no support groups where we are and we are going on one and a half years since my husbands accident. And so far we have had to learn on our own and really don't know where to turn. My husband recently was also denied insurance so we have been doing all we can on our own. Thank you so much.
my husband is C5/6 quad. I came off pill just before we married, which is over 7 yrs. We started 'trying' to conceive Jan 08, we've been through many tests, which have all come back fine. Only issue is motility of sperm, which may be from urinary infection because of catheter, but sperm count very high. We've been referred for fertility treatment and are due to have our 1st meeting @ clinic within next 5/6 wks or so. We have been funded by NHS for 3x cycles of IUI, with possible IVF if unsuccessful. We are still 'trying' in the hope that we will conceive naturally and won't have to go for treatment.
I'm sorry I don't have any experience or help, but I wanted to let you know we all support you and your husband's efforts. Keep us posted, okay? By the way, have you looked up any information online at all? Just a thought...talk to you later.
