Medroxyprogesterone..1st month of TTCing after a long break where's AF so I can get started already?

Hello All,

It's been Six days since my last medroxyprogesterone (provera) pill and I'm waitinf for AF to show and nothing! So of course her I go with the worrying. I have PCOS so the chances of me being pregnant right now without the Clomid Metformin and Medroxyprogesterone is slim to none as I haven't had a cycle since July of Last year. Anyway I've posted before about our ventures in TTCing and the ups and downs of everything and although I've been taking metformin to help with the PCOS, I still didn't have a period and it was fine because we weren't ready to try again. However we are now and so my RE prescribed the provera to get my cycle started and we're just going to be trying that along with the metformin for the first attack plan, and then if this is unsuccessful then we're moving on and adding the clomid, and if that doesn't work we're going to the shots...so on and so forth, my concern is that, I've taking my provera and AF still hasn't shown and I'm not sure if I need to go back to my RE to get something else or to make sure that there isn't another problem (again I'm 75% sure it's not pregnancy) or do I have a few days left before AF is due to show. Like what is the general time frame after you take you last pill of Provera/Medroxyprogesterone. Also has Metformin and Provera worked for anyone without having the other things as well. Also what do I expect if have to get to the shot phase. I've been on clomid before and it worked for me, but is this something that i should ask for right away or follow the outline that my RE has for me? As always anyhelp is good help, so please help...if you can!

I usually always started within a few days of my last pill but my doc said it could take up to 10 days!  So, hang in there!

Hi. I took my first medroxyprogesterone (provera) pill last month. I asked the same question about it also. From the day of my last pill it took 4 day to start spotting and then additional 2 days to have my official AF. I am going to ask my RE to start me on clomid for my next cycle. I am currently doing the OPK, but not sure if it will work (I'm on CD17). Good luck with the medroxyprogesterone pill. I had some horrible cramping, breast tenderness and mood swings. I'd worn your hubby in advance.
