Metformin missed period

My cycles have been irregular for a long time for the most part I usually get a period. Not sure how many days I ovulate I never tracked before...so on November 21st I went to have my Pap smear and I explained how my period is all over the place but it was a few days left in the month and I know if my period would show up in Nov. or not with pcos my cycle varies. Well I didn't get a period at all last month and I've been on metformin for a week now 500mg getting my body use to it still.. and I thought it would make my period come. I'm in denial and scared to take the hpt and get my hopes up high! I don't think I could be pregnant since I missed my cycle last month I may not have ovulated but I thought for sure the metformin would've made my period come.. considering I usually get one each month for five days but the days are always off..what would you recommend I'm confused and trying not to overthink this strange cycle.

I would recommend giving the metcormin more time. That medication will takes a while to regulate your cycles. I speak from experience with this medication and having PCOS also. I want to wish you the best on your journey. If I can help you with anything please feel free to message me.
