Chiropractic is also wonderful. I too believe this is the main thing that helped us to conceive our first. We both saw a chiropracter weekly for 6 months. It made me Ovulate three months in a row when I havent ovulated in years!!!!!
I swear by chiropractic!
lorri xx
Yes she said, that if my IVF cycle is not successful, to try just accupuncture for 6 months
as she belives it will help me fall naturally
I would recommend it regarless of your fertility treatment. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes. :)
Yes, it's suppose to be good while TTC in general. I'm not doing IUIs or IVF, and I'm not on any fertility meds either. I might call and set up an appointment this cycle :-)
What if your not doing IVF but IUI is it still helpful?
I tried accupunture and I think it helped me. Your accupunturist can advise you on when it is best (in your cycle) to start accupuncture treatment. What I learned is that accupunture can help you produce more eggs, prior to retrival, as well as prepare your system to have a baby. My accupunturist had me see her 2 times before the retrieval and twice before the transfer. While I had accupunture before for stress, the treatement to prepare me for IVF seemed more intense. That is, I could feel the results for days in my abdomen area--it was as if I had worked my ab musles. The affects can be different for everyone. I will tell you that some accupunturists will treat patients after a transfer and some will not.
I am actually going to see mine in about 30 mins. I can't wait. I love it and it's so relaxing!
Thanks Ladies...Now I just need to find a good one...anyone live in the Milwaukee,WI area that could recommend one?
My lady told me the earlier the better, I have been having it for 5 weeks & I started IVF 3 weeks ago.
I have one session a week, it has helped me cope better with symptoms of down regulating. They ask you where you are in your cycle when you have consultation, & adapt treatment to suit.
I am going next week & will continue throughout the IVF.
She has also given my hubby herbal tablets to help increase sperm count & mobility, it has made him have loads of energy, so must be doing something.
Just to clarify..back and front means lower back and belly with electro stimulation. It was so great!
I have had acupuncture through 2 IUIs and 1 IVF and all BFN. I changed to a better more experienced acupuncturist and got a chemical with an IUI. I always get a higher number of follicles with acupuncture. This last cycle, I had 3 months of acupuncture once a week back and front before attempting a medicated cycle. On the first day of meds, I increased acupuncture to twice a week. I have had noticed no PMS pains (very good). As for what time in your AF cycle you should start acupuncture, never heard anything one way or the other. The key is just to start! Good luck to butterflybabies with your IVF. At the very least, you should consider acupuncture the day of transfer both before and after transfer. There are some acupuncturist that will actually come to the clinic where transfer is performed. You can ask your RE is he/she can recommend someone.
Me too!!! I have a card to an acupuncturist who does fertility treatment, but haven't called yet. I'll probably be ovulating in about 10 days or so. Is this a good time to start?
Good question Kindergal..I was thinking the same thing..LOL
When in your cycle is it best to do the accupuncture??
If this first round of IVF doesnt work for me, I think I will do accupuncture when I go through the second round (of course I hope this first one works!)

Hi I am having accupuncture at the moment, & doing my first cycle of IVF ICSI. It does increase your chances from 30% to 50% so well worth trying also helps with side effects & helps you relax.
I am a beauty therapist, I completed a course on reflexology last year, reflexology also helps with fertility but you need to tell them that you are seeing them to help with fertility.
One of my collegues on the course is a nurse, she is currently doing a course on accupuncture, it was her who first recommended that I try accupuncture as one of its side effects is incresed fertility.
I just booked another session for next week, having one a week it has definately helped me cope with it all a lot better.
Good luck
sorry miss typed from 30% to 50% xx

I'm currently trying acupuncture. I do feel movement and things happening like menstrual cramping and ovulation pain after my procedure. Haven't had an IUI yet since beginning acupuncture, but I'm getting ready to. I'll let you know how it turns out. I've read good things about it.
not me personally but my sis in law...she did acupuncture (nothing else) and we now have a very active set of 2-year-old nephews (identical twins)
SSBD to you!
