Do you think my OPK's will turn positive?

Hi ladies,

My doctor recomended them!  I took a OPK this morning about 2 hours after I woke...i did have something to drink but I didnt wait to pee untill i really had to go!

It is damn near positive!!!! I think?  let me know what you think!!!!

I know how it feels. I was told by doc not to use them cause of false positives.

I did not have great luck with OPK's either. I was told not to drink anything for at least 3 hrs before taking it because if the urine is diluted the line might show up lighter. Do you think that could be what is happening? I switched to the clear blue fertility monitor like happynfer and that worked better for me.

Will your doctor do a blood test to confirm ovulation? You could also trying temping to confirm ovulation. Good luck!

OPK still negative.....Day 7 of taking these tests. I know it is possible that i will not ovulate but i have to not get negative about it!  UGH

Hi ladies,

Thanks for the comments!  I have been using the OPK strips everyday at around noon or a little later.  I have tried it in the morning and in the evening just for ***** and giggles and always got a very faint line.  Even at 3pm I didnt get a good reading like at noonish.

I am on clomid so I know it could give me a false pos or neg and could make me ovulate late!

I guess I will keep testing and see what happens!

what time are you testing? the best time to take an OPK test is between noon and 3pm.  the hormone is released in the morning and does not always show up in first morning urine well.....
personally i found it easier to just chart and learned to read my CM pretty well over the years.  confirmed it with a clear blue fertility monitor over several months to be sure.
