On combo of Clomid,Estrodiol,Hcg Trigger,and Crinone 8%(progesterone)

I am now on clomid 100 mg I took this on CD3-7 then estrodiol (estrogen) on CD 7 was suppose to be 8 I made a mistake but no biggie. Then had an ultrasound on CD 13 with one HUGE follicle on the right side and a few small follicles on the left side,hmm any chance to have an egg come on both sides? Also had good endro lining thanks to the estrodiol. The DR let me get the HCG Trigger shot on CD 14 in the morning and then use Crinone 8% Gel which is the Progesterone on CD 17. I decided to do an Ovulation test for the hell of it to which I figured it would be negative I've never seen a positive one also never do it regularly but anyway it was positive on the CD 17 the day I started the cream. Does that mean I am about to ovulate, could have already ovulated, or I am ovulating? Becuase I thought the Trigger shot makes you O sooner? Well today is CD 18 and decided to do the OPK again this morning and it was positive again and I knwo this for sure because I do use the digital reading with the smiley face. I want to know about that and if any of you have been successful with this routine in conceiving.. I have been having trouble only because of the depo provera birth control I was on for about 3-4 years. Also throwing something else in there whats the chances of me having twins with these meds? I would love twins so that wouldn't be an issue so just curious and I have taken the Clomid more than once. Thanks and Baby Dust to all it's enough to drive you insane going thru all of this exp the hormone stuff cuz you always feel crappy BLAH! How long should I wait to take a pregnancy test after all of these anyways? I was thinking be safe and take one APRIL 1ST haha April Fools Day..

Thanks for answering me! My small ones were really tiny a 3? I am now on the progesterone cream blah makes you feel really crappy lol and I tried Acupuncture today for fertility which was actually pretty cool! Has anyone ever tried ACUPUNCTURE? Has it worked for anyone? Thanks Rebecca

How big were your smaller follicles on the day of the trigger? If they were about 15 mm or bigger, they could have released an egg too, in addition to your big follicle. As for your chance of twins, that all depends on how many eggs released, but in general, clomid only increases your chance of multiples by a small percentage.

When it comes to ovulation test, they will usually show positive for a while after taking the trigger shot, so that is probably why you've been getting positives even though you probably already ovulated. Most women ovulate about 36 hours after taking the shot.

The trigger will stay in your system for up to about 10 days, and since it can also lead to a false positive on pregnancy tests, it is best to wait until it's been at least 10 days to test. Ideally, you should wait until your period is late...but I know how hard that is, so maybe wait until you're at least 12 days past ovulation. And if it's negative at that point, wait a couple of days and try again.
