Ovulating?? Please help!

Ok, Been married for 11 yrs, trying to conceive for 6. Really horrible periods, pain is god awful and I would bleed alot, I'd bleed inbetween, bleed after sex and also bled if I did anything strenuous. Long story short, My gyno sent me to a fertility specialists and he did a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.  He found and removed minimal Endo, a cyst on my fallopian tube and a polyp in the middle of my cervix. He said he found no reason I should be in the pain I'm in and actually saw no reason other than the polyp of why I'm not conceiving.  SO now he wants me to do a menstrual cycle chart.  I'm suppose to wait until I start, first full day, call down there and have a "baseline ultrasound" done. THEN when I ovulate (presuming that I do IF not I go on the 14th day) I'm supposed to go down there and have another ultrasound done.  NOW, I'm really freakin out here and I've NEVER done an ovulation tracker thing again BUT I think I have a positive.  After I had my surgery they said I'd start my period in at least 10 days. Well on the 2nd day I started for 2 full days and stopped. These last couple of days my boobs have felt sore and (sorry TMI) but my nipples are killing me. They are so sore that when I walk they kinda hurt. Anyways, I thought "hmm just try this ovulation thing" so I bought one and did the first test strip this afternoon and got what I THINK is a positive. Please anyone help me. Let me know what you think.

I'll post the tests on my profile to, it looks like that one is too small. LOL.  AND I was wondering IF being pregnant would make that test positive??  Thanks in advance! :D

Thank you so much Heather, I really appreciate it. I'm just so new to this "ovulation" thing. You've helped a great deal. :)

If you're on day 15, it would make sense that you're about to ovulate. I'm sure the reason for your short period after the lap and hysteroscopy is that some of the lining was removed too when taking out the endo and polys (therefore less blood when you got your period). I think I would call them and let them know. Either way, they'll be able to tell you whether or not they want to use this month to track your cycle or next. Best of luck with everything!

Oh I'm so nervous. Thank you so much for replying!  Today I would be on day 15. If that's counting from the first day I had my "short" period.  I'm really praying to get pregnant, especially since they found that polyp and removed it, on top of everything being "cleaned" out in there. My checkup appointment was on the 8th of this month and I forgot to mention that I had that "short" period just 2 days after surgery. He said during the visit to track my period, call them first day..Do you think I should call them with this?  Thank you again!

It's definitely a positive test! And yes, it can also show positive for pregnancy. What cycle day are you today?
