ive been trying to get pregnant and every month i wait to get like my period missed but i end up getting it ? why is that ? i really want to get pregnant because my boyfriend wants a baby so bad and i really dont know whats going on i am currently on my prd i just got it today jan 25 when will be a good day to have sexual intercourse ?.

You can use ovulation predictor kits as well to help you know when you are ovulating. Most people with regular 28-30day cycles ovulate between days 10-16, but usually day 14 for the majority. Start testing 10 days after the first day your last menstrual cycle and test the same time each day. It's better not to use the first morning sample, unlike pregnancy tests. One you see the test is positive, you'll be ovulating within 24-48 hours, so those days are your best chances to conceive. Keep a calendar and mark the last day of your menstrual cycle and the day your ovulation test is positive. It will help you know your ovulation day for each cycle and if it varies. Also, if you have not been successful, that calendar will better help you and your doctor with your fertility and treatment if needed.

In a woman with normal menstrual cycles the week before and week after menses is considered as a safe period since the chance of conceiving during this time is less .The best chances of conceiving are from some 5 days before until 1 to 2 days after ovulation. You should consult a doctor if you have been unable to conceive since more than a year. The causes of infertility are hormonal imbalances, ovulation disorders, thyroid dysfunction, blocked fallopian tubes etc.A clinical examination and tests like hormonal assay, thyroid tests, and pelvic scan may help.
