PCOS & Infertility

Hello,

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 4 years. I am 25 years old and early this year, I was diagnosed with PCOS. I was performed a hysterosalpingogram on the 2nd week of June and I've been taking Metform for almost 3 weeks. I have noticed that I've been discharging a clear/white sticky and elatically looking mucus, slight increase in the release of gas, frequent clear urination, and pelvic pain on my lower left and sometimes right side. I already saw my GYN and she told me that this could be a sign of ovulation. My GYN has withdrawn blood from me to check my Estrogen level and I'm hoping that this means that I'll be able to determine when I'm ovulating. I have always had a hard time determining when I'm ovulating due to changes in my menstrual cycles. For example, I had my period this month on June 3rd but last month I got my period on May 8th. I'm not sure if any of this is normal and I have never really mastered how to predict my most fertile days. I've even considered having IVF but I really want to conceive the most natural way possible.  Any professional and also non-professional advice provided to me is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

sorry to hear that maredy...I know how you feel...my husband and i went through that for about a year off and on..so i finally just waited till he told me he was ready....

prairiegirl77 : please let us know if you have any success from the ov watch...i was thinking of ordering it if after this next round of meds doesn't get anywhere...I also do not o every month either...

I apologize for the late reply...I have not been on in a few days...especially b/c I've been growing a bit inpatient with my DH and myself....I have not done any medical procedures besides an HSG, which thank god came out positive...my tubes are not blocked...and my husband already did the necessary things to determine whether or not he had a problem...and thank god he's okay...The problem with us seems to stem from me having PCOS...I've was taking Metformin and Prenatal pills as of 3 days ago...but having taken 3 HPT's and seeing 3 negatives back to back....has really begun to take a toll on my relationship and the overall effort I'm making in becoming a mommy...I feel like I'm getting desperate too...and even more after realizing that I want to be a mother more than my husband wants to become a dad...His lack of interest has really just made me stop taking my treatment for now...and I've just decided to not force the issue...since this is something that we should both be working at together....

Hi:)  Thanks for the info in your post!!  I am def goin to try that website/The Watch!  I am in the same boat as u!  My hubby's guys are lower too..In fact until today we thought he was the only problem (as I typed in my last message)...  But today they looked at my eggs and all & although the lining looked all great my egg area was like 8mm and should be like 26mm right now:( I just don't get how all my bloodwork and all my tests came back perfect & I have always had regular cycles...always 26 days w/ what I thought was OV cramping around day 14-16!  But now I am unsure:(  I am wondering if this is an ongoing usual problem for me or a one month mess up??
I am interested to hear any advice & info you or anyone else has!!
PS They told my hubby today to stay away from red meat & of course bad things like alcohol etc....  He recommended acupuncture for both of us as well...
Any opinions on that??

I have read a few of the posts above and can relate to some of you for sure.  First of all, I found out that there is acutuall NO test out there that will tell you you are ovulating!!  It will detect the hormone\surges that your body naturally released after menstrating and before you SHOULD ovulate but then you may just not release the egg or it may release and dye right away (which was happening too a friend of mine).  
I purchased this OV Watch after seeing it on the T.V. show The Doctors.  Then I googled it....lots....read EVERY single success story, emailed the site to a friend who is also having trouble conceiving and we both decided to order the watch.  The watch is awesome, my only trouble is that my docs tell me I don't ovulate.grr.  
So anyone know what I can do to ovulate?  I have cysts on both my overies but other that that everything else seems to be okay.  Except with my husband, docs say that his count should be over 20 and they are 9 - on a good day!
Any advice for ovulating or increasing spearm count?
And if anyone is having a problem pinpointing their ovulation days - I highly suggest going to www.ovwatch.com and checking it out!

Hi I need some advice/help please!!
OK so my husband & I have been TTC for like 8 years!  I am 32 he is 37...But finally got in w/ fertility specialist 6 months ago... All my tests came back good, my bloodwork, the dye test, and I even had an Endo biop test which came back good and showed that I had ovulated...  My husband's sperm seemed to be an issue (but we never thought it bc he has a son from previous relationship)...His volumne was slightly low and morphology also slightly low... Been doin OPK got LH surge on day 15 after AF (is that period), soo Today we went for insemination.. we had sex last nt & this morning bc no one told us not to.. Needless to say they showed us his guys on the grid in the scope...there should have been 100, there were 2!!!! So we couldn't do insemination...but Dr wanted to go ahead and do vag ultrasound to chk my Ov... He checks it and my lil tiny wanna b egg is like 8mm instead of being 26mm...so now I am a problem:(
I am so lost and confused!  We will be having a meeting w/ specialist again next week as now we have 2 problems not just 1...
I am so desperate to have a baby or 2 I just keep getting excited only to be told something discouraging..I am really confused..Did I just not Ov this month? Why would the OPK say I am going to???
