PCOS and Fertility

My wife is facing irregular periods for last 4 months,, periods delayed by 1 month, so we visited gynaco.. we observed that she is having PCO(polycystic ovary ) in ultrasound..
Doctors told us that such patient takes time to prepare eggs. my wife is quite worried, Is it possible to get pregnent for her. she is 24 yrs old and no any kind of medical history she is facing.

I also have pcos and i tried clomid and 2000mg of metformin.  It didn't not work for me for pregnancy so I have to see a fertility specialist which put me on injectables and i produced a bunch of follies so i did ivf and just found out I'm pregnant with twins.

I too have PCOS and tried metformin and Clomid like RippedonScotch mentioned.  The Metformin and Clomid didn't help me and I ended up with a Fertility Specialist as my obgyn could only take it so far.  It would be worth talking to your OBGYN about Metformin, it helps a lot of people as does the Clomid.  Your wife is very young and if you try those meds you might have great success.

There are a lot of us here that the drs say we have PCOS.   Has the dr asked to put her on metaformin?  that is normally the first med that they try.   its supposed to help regulate your cycles.  You can also ask about clomid that induces ovulation.  I have a 2yr from being on Clomid and now I'm expecting #2 from clomid again.
