I'm also 32 and have PCOS. I took metformin for awhile, but it didn't help at all. So don't be worried that you can't take it. We were finally able to get pregnant after doing fertility treatments, so it IS possible! For sure! I'm currently 21 weeks along. It took us seven years to conceive, but we finally did and it's now all SO worth it! GOOD LUCK!
I'm 33 and I also have PCOS. Don't be afraid of not having kids. It can still happen. A lot of women with PCOS do have kids but I'm not gonna lie, it's tougher for some of us. :)
There are other treatments available besides Metformin. Just to let you know, Metformin is a diabetic drug. It helps control blood sugar. Yes, it can help, but it's not really an ovulation drug.
Clomid is the ovulation drug that is used for a lot of people to help ovulation occur. So if you are wanting to have kids, talk to your OB/GYN and work with him. :)
I have pcos and have to kids conceived with fertility drugs, 1st one with clomid and the 2nd with follicle stimulating hormone (fsh) and trigger shot (Ovidriel) and a iui... so there is hope.
