HPT = Pregnant, one day before BT, how likely is it that it's correct?

I've done a HPT this morning just one day before my BT and it says 'pregnant', how likely do you think that it is correct. Please help???...

It sounds like we are all on the same cycle.  I had my transfer on Nov 14.  I had my 1st beta on Nov 25th=361.  I had my 2nd on Dec 1st=2,171. I'm now going nuts waiting for my ultrasound Dec 11th to see how many embies decided to make my uterus home.  I transferred 5, I'm hoping at least 1 will stick and go the distance. I can't shake that might be 2 but I am so afraid of getting my hopes up.  This forum has been really awesome.  It is sometimes difficult to talk to others about it.  One of my co-workers thinks that I am nuts to be doing this at 40.  I appreciate everyones' feedback.

Good News!, my second BT result indicated that my hormone reading is '575', it's doubled plus 95. The nurse said that I've either got a strong one in there or it's twins!!

My next hospital appointment is in 2 weeks, Thursday 18th December - scan to see if everything looks ok and to see how many embryos have implanted.

I've just had my second BT and have to ring the hospital at 12:00 pm (2 hours time) in the hope that my previous hormone level result, '231' has at least doubled, Fingers crossed for me xxx

Congrats!! I know it is such a sigh of relief when the blood test comes back positive.  I took my BT at 11 and won't hear until 330 or 4.  I didn't sleep well last night either.

My HPT was telling the truth, I'm 'PREGNANT', my BT was at 8:40 am and I had to wait until 12:00 pm before I could ring for the result, the nurse said that I needed a hormone level of 40 or over and the reading was '231', she also said that it could mean I have a strong embryo or could be 'TWINS'!! Think I must be in shock as I can't take it in. I had a bad night's sleep last night and feel shattered now. The 3 hours waiting before I could ring and find out the result was tense, esp the last hour, as you can imagine!!

How did everyone else get on, good I hope, can't wait for you to tell me??? xxxxxx

Congrats!! I am also going for beta tomorrow!! Sounds like there could be 3 of us getting a BFP from blood tests tomorrow!! Exciting!!

Oh boy, this is embarrassing but I've done 7 all together now.  I did one for every day of this last week and took 2 yesterday.  I'm 14 days since transfer today, my beta is tomorrow.  I was worried about the same thing as I am taking progesterone injections once daily.  But even my re said if I was going to test to do it a day or two before the blood test so I think we're both safe!  

I will be sure to let you know the outcome and you do the same

Thank you for your responses, I can't believe it, I'm soooooo excited. My expression must have been a picture when I saw the word 'pregnant'!! What a Christmas it's going to be and the rest of my life!!

jjsh44: How many HPT have you done and when in the cycle?

I'm on progesterone vaginal pessaries, (helps womb lining) do you think they would have an effect on the result or am I woorrying too much?

It is VERY LIKELY your pregnant! congrats on your bfp!  The hcg from your trigger shot should be out of your system by now.  I know it's hard to believe when you see that positive sign.  I am being excited but cautious at the same time.  My blood test is tomorrow as well-good luck to us :-)
