Hello everyone! I'm 10 weeks pregnant as of today. I had my first OB appointment on Friday and my OB mentioned that women who have delivered prematurely are now being given progesterone injections. Since I was borderline premature delivery with my son he I may have to do this. I've had two LEEP's done on my cervix due to cervical dysplasia so I have to have an ultrasound done at 16 weeks to check the competency of my cervix and he said he would decide then if I need the injections or not as well as if I need my cervix sewn and bed rest. I was fine when I had my son last year, but I've since had a second LEEP done. But otherwise everything is PERFECT! I go for the ultrasound on October 8th and they'll be able to tell us the sex of the baby then too. I'm believing everything will be fine with my cervix. I was just wondering if any of you had heard of doing progesterone injections to prevent premature delivery.
