Progesterone along with injections, why?

So in about 2 weeks i will be starting Follisim 150iu, my husbands SA is fine but dr said best chance if we do an IUI which i may not do. He also said to start progesterone in my 2WW, why!? My progesterone is normal and i have already carried two kids full term. Anyone ever done this combo? What are the chances of OHSS with that dose but no iui/ivf??

I was on that same dosage for  iui and i had no ohss. It is mainly for woman who are on much higher dosages and for a much longer time period.  they usually produce about 20-30 follicles

Progesterone, baby aspirin  and estrogen are standard protocol after ivf.  Follistim is a drug also used in ivf (fsh drug). Progesterone itself is needed to Help support and maintain your uterine lining.
